By having an accurate map of where the services are located on a site one can :
- Prevent expensive delays resulting from damage to the services during excavations
- Prevent injury to staff from damaged services
- Prevent delays to design process where redesign of foundations or basements are required as result of discovering services during excavations.
- Prevent time delays to site due to planning consents etc. which will be required to be allowed to move services discovered unexpectedly during excavations.
The underground detection work is done during site survey work and does not delay design process.
